またしても Gentoo ネタじゃなくてごめんなさい。最新の Google App にすると Ok Google で「Call foobar」って効かなくならない？複数の Nexus でやっても Call xxx ってやると検索結果が出て、今までダイアルされてたのがならなくなってる。

Nexus 6P購入

マシンのRAIDボード設定がとんで泣いていたんですが、ほぼ衝動でNexus 6P 64GBモデル購入しました。色はグラファイトです。早ければ来週半ばには届くそうです。今まで所有した端末を売りに出してないので、Pixel C、Nexus 9、Nexus 4とT1でしたっけ？それらを除いて持ってます(T1はAndroid端末ってだけでNexusシリーズじゃないか…)。

SIMが必要なスマートフォンは使い道が難しいけどタブレットNexus 7 (2012)、Nexus 7 (2013)は大活躍してます。とくにNexus 7 (2013)はPlay Booksを読むのにちょうどいい感じです。

あーそれにしても届くのが待ちどうしい！！！

パスワード管理ツール

パスワード管理ツールとしてマルチプラットフォームのPasswordBoxを使ってたんですが、数日前にメールが来て2016年の秋だったかなにサービス終了して、Intel Securityの元でTrue Keyとして生まれ変わるようなんです。

そこで困ったのがTrue KeyってLinux、ChromeOSに対応してないんですよね。しかし、サポートフォーラムを見ていると正式サポートじゃないけどLinuxでも使えるってあったのでやってみました。(サポートフォーラムは丁寧に対応してくれるのでいい感じです。)

インストール

インストールはWindowsか対応しているプラットフォームで行ってください、インストール後にTrue Keyを起動してPasswordBoxのアカウントでログインを行うと移行する？って聞かれるので移行します。

注意: 移行するとPassowrdBoxのアカウントは無効になります。

移行が終わりログインしたら設定からChromeの拡張をインストールします。普通にChromeをインストールしていれば拡張は同じアカウントでChromeログインしてれば拡張は同期されるのでしばし放置します。えーとこれだけです。これでLinux、ChromeOSでもTrue Keyが使えます。

True Keyを最初に使うと1年間は無料で使えます。またPasswordBoxでLifetime Supportを契約していた人は3年間無料らしいです。

セキュリティ面としてはLastpassよりいい感じがしています。ただお値段がLastpassより高く年額19.99ドルなんですよね。私は興味があってすぐ移行しちゃいましたが、PasswordBoxを使ってる人はギリギリでTrue Keyに移行した方が得だと思います。ただPasswordBoxは情報をエクスポートする機能がないのでサービスが利用できる間に安全な方法でデータを保存しておく方が良いと思います。

さあAndroid – Marshmallowが公開されましたね。OTAは来週からスタートになると思いますが、既にファクトリーイメージは公開されています。最初は素直にOTAを待とうと思ったのですが、ファクトリーイメージが並んでいるページを見ているとやっぱりアップデートしたくなってしまってアップデートしちゃいました。

それで始めて知ったのですがNexus 6ってfastboot oem lockでもデータ消去されるんですね。これまでのNexusではunlockではデータ消去されたけどlockでは消去されなかったので驚きました。そもそも再度ブートローダをロックする必要があるのかと問われると、それは趣味の問題でしかありません。

私と同じようにロックが外れたロゴが出るのが嫌で(これだけの理由ではないけど)ブートローダを再度ロックする方は注意しましょう。

Moto 360 (Android Wear)にOTA

Moto 360にOTA来ました

もうちょっと時間かかるかと思ってたのですが意外と早く来ました。注意点としてはバッテリー残量が80％ないとアップデートされないことです。アップデートが無事終了すると噂になって翻訳を使ってみました。

 暗いところで撮影したので見辛いかもしれませんがちゃんと「Translate」とあるのが分かると思います。そのしたには色々と新しくなったHangoutsが見えてますが、今回は紹介しません。

マイクボタンをタップして喋ればこの場合は英語に翻訳されます。翻訳元、翻訳先言語を変更することも可能です。変更したい方をタップすると画面が言語を選択するのに変更されるので、必要とするものを選んでください。

さいごにこれはおまけです。私が普段使っているFace Watchです。Moto 360 に標準でついているものです。

大きな OTA だとシステムファイルを変更している場合はOTAが適用出来ないのですが、手元の複数台の Nexus で確認したところ、このサイトでも紹介しているフォント定義ファイルを変更していても、OTA は問題なく適用できるようです。

再度ファクトリーイメージからだと「ねこあつめ」をしているのでどうしたものかなぁと思ってました。公式ページを見てもデータを移す方法が無いようなので。

Moto 360 を装着してみた。

タイトルのまんまです。

なかなかいい感じです。Moto 360 は裏側で心拍数を測るセンサーがあるのでメタルバンドの長さはピッタリになるように、時計屋さんにもっていって調整してもらいました。自分でも出来そうなのですが、固定されているピンがかなり固くプロに任せた方が良いなと思ったからです。また、ちょうど他の腕時計の電池を交換してもらう必要もあったので。

Moto 360 のディスプレイは綺麗な丸ではなく、ちょうど6時部分にセンサーがあります。これが気になるかなぁーと購入前は気になったのですが使ってみると気にするようなものではありませんでした。

Android wear購入

以前から欲しいと思っていたMoto 360を買いました。 最近はドルに対して円安になっていますが、Amazonで並行輸入の価格を見るとボッタクリのような値段になっています。 Amazon.comで購入したらいくら程度なのだろうと、カートに入れて出来るだけ早く届けてもらうように発送プランを 選択しても、Amazon.co.jpで取り扱いしている価格より安くなりました。

送料込みで$234.50 でした。月曜日の夕方に届くとなっているので今からウキウキしています。 正確には購入したのは Motorola Moto 360 - Dark Metal, 23mm, Smart Watch です。レザーは評価で 汗に弱いってのがあったのでメタルバンドにしました。もうメタルバンドにしてもAmazon.co.jpより お買い得なんですから、本当に驚きです。

実際には商品が手元に届いてから、改めて紹介しますが私が今回購入したのは下記の物になります。

ところで何をインストールすればいいの？

私にとってスマートウォッチというものは初めてで、アプリなど何を利用して良いのか全く分かってません。 これは入れておいたほうが良いよって物があれば、教えて下さい。ちなみに母艦(?)はNexus 6です。

今後について

今後は使用感などをこのブログに掲載して行きたいと思っています。すでに分かっていることといえばアップデートしたけれども バッテリーの持ち具合に心配があるということでしょうか？

また、一部のレビューで充電中にディスプレイをオンにしておくと焼き付くというのもあって気になってます。 ただ最新のアップデートでこの問題は解消されたとも報告されているのですが、充電するときはディスプレイオフにしておこうと 考えています。

クラウドプリントの印刷方向

それにしてもGoogleのクラウドプリントは便利ですねぇ。Android端末から印刷キューが投げておけるので、印刷忘れがなくて良いのですが一つ不満があってPDFの印刷で、おそらく元のデータが変なんだと思うんですけど印刷プレビューを見るとA4縦で印刷して欲しいのに横になっちゃうんですよね。

LinuxのChromiumからクラウドプリンタを使えばなにも問題無いんですけど… Adobe Readerを使えばこの問題解決するんでしょうか？個人的にはインストールしたくないアプリケーションだったりするんですよね。まあ元PDF(ファイル)が変だってことにしておいて諦めます。

FeedlyのGoogle Now Card

RSSリーダであるFeedlyはAndroidアプリのバージョンが27になったときに朝7時にGoogle Now Cardを表示するってことでしたが、昨日までいっこうに表示されることはなかったのですが、Feedlyアプリのバージョンはそのままで今日カードが表示されていました。

便利かと聞かれるとRSSは基本的に全部見ているため目新しいものは無いので、それほど便利ってことはなく、こんな記事あったなぁーって感じだけです。でも、あった方が何かと楽しいです。

Smart Lock

ChromebookとNexus 6でSmart Lockを使って運用しています。これがすごく便利。

Bluetooth使うのでバッテリー消費とかは気になるかもしれないけど、ペアリングしたデバイスがあったら自動的にロックが解除されてログインできて作用が出来るってのは、急いで目も取る時などに役立ちます。

Touch to Searchが有効になった。

AndroidのChromeでの新しい機能 Touch to Search が有効になりました。

文字を選択して上記画像のように気になったことを画面遷移することなく調べることが出来るのは、便利だと少し使ってみただけで実感出来ました。

ただ、まだ全ユーザでこの機能が有効になっているようでは無いようです。
まあ最終的には全ユーザで有効になると思うのであせらずに待ちましょう。

Nexus 6 に来た Android 5.1.1

所有している Nexus 6 に以下ようなものが来ました。

徐々に公開されていっているようですね。ちなみにファクトリーイメージは各米国キャリア向けのが公開されていますが、グローバルモデルのものについては現在、まだ公開されてないようです。

Android Mのフォント

Android Mのプレビューが発表されましたが日本語フォントが変更になっています。今まではモトヤフォントが使われていましたが、Android MからはNoto Sansフォントが利用されるようになるようです。

Nexus 5にプレビューを導入してみたのですが端末の言語設定が英語だと相変わらず中華フォントで表示されちゃいました。日本語フォントで表示出来れば良いんですけどね。
まあ、設定ファイルを変更するだけといえばそれだけなんですけどねぇ。

Nexus 6！

Nexus 6と言えば巷ではファブレットと言われている端末ですが、両手で文字を入力するのでそれほど困ってません。タイプ部分が広くて両手で入力するにはいい感じだと個人的には思っています。

やっぱり端末の言語設定を英語にしていると日本語が中華フォントで表示されるのでこれは修正してます。修正方法はまたの機会に商会死体と思います。ただ、もうすぐAndroid 5.1.1がくると思うのでいじらない方が良いと思います。

いじってしまうとOTAで降ってきても適用できなくなります。

あと不満はアンテナの掴みが悪くて、思っているよりバッテリーの消費が激しいところでしょうか。まあ、これもバージョンアップで改善されることを期待しています。

fastboot oem lockすると

Nexus 6 で fastboot oem lock するとユーザデータがフォーマットされちゃうんですね。内容の暗号化するためなんでしょうか。とにかく以前のNexusデバイスと比較すると面倒になりました。

まあ、oem lock 解除したままにしておけば何も問題ないんですけどね。

Nexus 6 (64GBモデル)の容量が…

Googleが公開しているファクトリーイメージを Nexus 6 (64GB)にフラッシュするとストレージ容量が極端に少なくなることがあります。

問題は userdata.img だと思うんですよね。

回避方法というか解決方法は以下のコマンドを実効します。

fastboot format userdata
fastboot format cache
fastboot reboot

これで容量は元に戻るんですけど、ユーザデータが消えちゃうのが難点です。

もう知っていると思いますが…

フォント定義ファイルの書き換えを紹介していますが、システムファイルを書き換えると OTA で新バージョンの Android が降ってきてもアップデート出来ないので注意してくださいね。

もちろん sideload も失敗します。

Android 5.1 従来のフォントの変更方法では不十分だった。のでやり直し。

前回と同じ方法でやったのですが。句読点が半角になっていたのでその修正版です。当然の事ながら、自己責任でお願いします/。私の環境ではこれでシステム言語を英語にしえても日本語フォントが表示出来る要になってます。

変更箇所はボールド体で表現したのですが見にくかったら連絡ください。

    Fallback Fonts

    There is another optional file in /vendor/etc/fallback_fonts.xml. That file can be used to
    provide references to other font families that should be used in addition to the default
    fallback fonts. That file can also specify the order in which the fallback fonts should be
    searched, to ensure that a vendor-provided font will be used before another fallback font
    which happens to handle the same glyph.

    Han languages (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) share a common range of unicode characters;
    their ordering in the fallback or vendor files gives priority to the first in the list.
    Language-specific ordering can be configured by adding a BCP 47-style "lang" attribute to
    a "file" element; fonts matching the language of text being drawn will be prioritised over
    all others.

続 Android 5.1 でのフォント、中華フォントだと誤解って文字が変だよね。

Android 5.1 の OTA の場所もわかったので sideload でアップデートしようとしたら、ファイルが書き換えてあるから無理っていわれたのでファクトリーイメージを焼きました。

お馴染みの中華フォントより日本語フォントを優先的に表示するようにしたのですが、ふとしたことから fonts.xml の変更だけでいいのではないか？と思ってやってみたら、概ね問題なかったのですが一部のアプリ(確認したアプリだと OneNote)でひらがなが表示出来ない状態になったので、いまは素直に fonts.xml と fallback_fonts.xml を書き換えて Android 5.1 ライフを満喫しています。
